Sending Online Dating First Emails

Your first email to a girl you’ve met online can be the key factor in your online dating success if your profile and pictures are good. And you asked me my opinion about what to write, and what works, so I had to test it out for myself and a bunch of the guys I’m working with.

We’ve been experimenting with some different lengths and styles of emails recently. And we’ve even started sending out emails to women who didn’t email us first.

But, as you know, breaking the ice and sending a first message to a girl online was never my goal. My goal has always been to make the profiles I write for myself and other guys so good that women email us first. Same with my eBook Magnetic Profiles, everything there is designed so that if you do what I tell you, women will email you first.

So if you’re having trouble writing first emails, what I’d recommend is that you have me take a look at your profile or spend the $67 and pick up the book. In my opinion, it’s a whole lot easier to AVOID having to write that first email than it is to LEARN how to do it.

It’s like going to swim practice and spending 2 hours a day learning what to do if you’re drowning instead of learning how to swim.

But anyway, we’ve had some initial success with sending out first emails and I want to share what we’ve got so far.

Everything I’ve read or seen, including the video from the last post, says that you should write short emails. Well that doesn’t work for me. I’m kinda wordy, like you probably noticed, so that’s not easy for me. And I like easy.

So I just did it my way and wrote women relatively long emails. We are talking maybe a page here.

Response rate has been out of this world!

I contacted women I was actually interested in meeting, had a career, were at least 10 years younger than me… good looking, athletic, and seemed to have the same values as me.

Of the 19 emails I sent out, I got a total of 14 replies. So much for needing to send short emails. (Which we did too, but we’ll get to that later.)

But, there was a method to these long messages… and it might not be the best one, because it does take about 30 minutes per email. Maybe we’ll find a technique that gets just as many women to respond but is easier and faster. I’ll have to experiment more with that.

For now, the longer emails were far better than shorter ones.

So let me tell you what I did with these first emails…

Basically, I looked at the woman’s profile and anytime I had a gut reaction to something, I added it to my message. So if she said was a teacher, I’d tell her that I’m impressed that she cares and hope she’s making a difference in world. If she said she liked hiking, I’d tell her that I hate walking for the sake of walking and that if we ended up going out, she could do that with her other boys.

With me and the guys who tested this so far, we didn’t act needy or make it look like we thought we were soul mates or any stupid crap like that. We said we were impressed if we were, and wrote that we didn’t agree if we didn’t. We teased them a little bit, and opened up and told them about our lives a little.

Like I said, this takes some time and we might come up with something far easier and faster later on, but this is my first time experimenting with sending first emails, so you have to wait and see as we test this out.

I’ll keep you posted and put it into a system so you can just bang these emails out one after the other without much time. And, if you want to experiment with first-time emails as we “beta test” them, let me know. All I need from you is to let me know the results so we can fine-tune and tweak things.
